Timeless Elegance: A Bespoke Shaker Kitchen in Ferndown

Project Overview

This project showcases a beautifully designed and meticulously executed shaker kitchen in Ferndown, Dorset. With a blank canvass in this new build we transformed the space into a bright, functional, and stylish heart of the home, tailored to our client’s specific needs and specifications. The focus was on creating a timeless design that blends classic shaker style with modern conveniences, making it ideal for both family living and entertaining.

Harmonious Blend of Tradition and Modernity

Our design concept centred on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with a focus on natural materials and a calming colour palette. The choice of Ashbury shaker doors in a bespoke Reed Green provides a serene backdrop, while the oak and quartz worktops add texture and depth. The overall design balances traditional elements with modern appliances and storage solutions, resulting in a kitchen that is both beautiful and practical.

Key Features & Materials

Door Style: Ashbury Shaker, an ash painted shaker door, known for its classic design and durability.

Door Colours: Bespoke Reed Green, a soft, nature-inspired hue that brings a sense of tranquillity to the space.

Cabinets: Constructed from durable Egger Lancaster Oak, the cabinets provide a warm, natural foundation. The custom pantry with matching integrated drawers and worktop for organization of small appliances and storage.

Handles: Crofts & Assinder Monmouth handles in American Bronze, providing a warm and elegant touch that complements the cabinetry.

Worktops: A Blend of Natural Oak and Durable Quartz.
Breakfast Bar/Shelves: 40mm solid oak, offering a natural and inviting surface for casual dining and display. 30mm Himalaya Quartz, extending to the window sill and full splashback behind the double Belfast sink for a seamless and durable wipe clean finish.

Sink: Villeroy & Boch 2 Bowl Belfast Sink, adding a touch of traditional charm.

Tap: Franke Pullout Brass Spray Tap, combining style with practical functionality.

Oven: Neff B69CY7MY0 Single Oven, which is part of the Flex Design Range. Offering many modes of use and colour optional trims.

Combi Oven: Neff C29MY7MY0 Combination Microwave, this model is also part of the Flex Design Range which works seamlessly with the oven.

Warming Drawer: Neff N29HA11Y1B Flex Warming Drawer.

Refrigeration: Neff KI1812FE0G Larder Fridge and GI7812EE0G Larder Freezer.

Dishwasher: Neff S175HTX06G Dishwasher, this dishwasher has a vario design hinge, allowing installation without the need for additional* plinth cut-outs.

Hob: Neff V68YYX4C0 Venting Induction Hob, this is one of Neffs latest models with matching side trims to seamlessly match with the other cooking appliances. With the built-in ventilation removes the need for additional extractors. Fully flex induction top allows you to place your pans in more locations as well as fully use as a bridged area for cooking on griddles and teppanyaki trays.

Storage Solutions: Integrated bins, LeMans wireworks for corner units, and real wood oak open shelving for functional and beautiful displays.

Lighting: LED lighting throughout the kitchen, enhancing functionality and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Recessed LED lighting within the pantry unit only illuminates when in use with motion sensors.
