This project involved designing a custom fitted bedroom in Colehill, Wimborne, focused on creating a serene, elegant, and highly functional environment. The design prioritizes clever storage solutions and lighting to enhance both the aesthetic appeal and the practical use of the room. What was the guest bedroom, will now be becoming the master bedroom. By combining soft, neutral tones with thoughtful details, the aim was to create a calm retreat that feels both open and inviting. Our bespoke approach ensured every element of this fitted bedroom was made to size, transforming the space.
Wardrobes & Bed Backboard: The room features luxurious Cashmere wardrobes, providing ample storage, seamlessly integrating into the space. A bespoke Cashmere bed backboard forms a cohesive look, enhancing the feeling of tranquility. This custom furniture is a key element of the fitted bedroom design.
Open Units & Worktops: Complementing the cashmere elements are Beige Grey Lorenzo open units and worktops. These provide additional surface space and display areas, adding visual interest without compromising the room’s spacious feel.
Handles: Elegant split handles in brushed nickel were chosen to provide a subtle contrast and a touch of modern sophistication, perfectly complementing the neutral colour palette.
Integrated LED Lighting: To enhance ambiance and highlight features, LED lighting is integrated within the open units. This provides a soft, warm glow, perfect for creating a relaxing atmosphere in this Colehill, Wimborne home.
Open Angled Shelving: Strategically placed open angled shelving at the entrance helps to maintain an open and airy feel, preventing the space from feeling cluttered and offering decorative opportunities.
Fluted Bed Backboard: A unique fluted backboard above the bed is designed to allow the LED lighting to bounce off its textured surface. This creates a soft, ambient glow, adding depth and a luxurious, moody atmosphere to the sleeping area. This detailed design is part of what makes this fitted bedroom so special.
Installation: This project was a full installation as part of the hallway furniture also.
Electrical: Movement of power sockets and installation of LED lighting switchable by remote control.
Plumbing: Disconnect and replace radiator, originally fitted behind the bed and moved to below the side window.
